The Instructors  -  The "Best of the Best"

Brad Shaver : Brad Shaver spent two seasons as the Head Coach of the Albany Jr River Rats
compiling an overall record of  77 wins,  20 losses and 14 ties.  During the 2005 – 2006 campaign he
led the Jr River Rats to a regular season League Championship and a National Title.  Brad was sel-
ected to Head Coach the CHA All-Star team at the USA Hockey Jr B All-Star weekend in Chicago.
He was born in Kingston, Ontario, Canada where he played his minor hockey.  He played Junior
Hockey with the Kingston Voyageurs of the Toronto Metropolitan Jr A hockey league for three
Seasons.  He then went on to Elmira College and played four seasons beginning in 1992-93 and
Graduated in 1995-96 as a Captain and Senior All-Star.  Brad played six seasons of professional
Hockey and retired in 2002 due to a second reconstructive knee surgery.  Brad then served for one
Year as an assistant coach with Skidmore College while returning to school for his Masters Degree
In Education.  Brad is now a full-time Special Education teacher at Koda Middle School.  Brad has
also worked as a fitness trainer with Top Form Fitness as well as World Gym of Saratoga training
Athletes, mainly focusing with Hockey players.  2007, 2008 CP Dynamo Head Coach - 16U.

 Travis Dillabough:  While playing Jr Hockey in the Toronto Metro Jr A league for the
Wexford
Raiders, Travis was drafted by the Los Angeles Kings in 1993.  A few months earlier he accepted
a
Division I hockey scholarship to play for the Providence College Friars of Hockey East.  There he had

Four successful years earning the Unsung Hero Award his junior season as the Friars skated to a

Hockey East Championship.  As Captain his senior year, Travis was awarded  Best Defensive Forward

Of Hockey East and Best Two Way Player by the New England Sports Writer’s Association.  In 1997

He began his professional career in St. Louis but had his season cut short due to injury.  He played

Through five injury ridden seasons in the International Hockey League and East Coast Hockey League

Before being forced to retire due to a neck injury.  After retiring, Travis became heavily involved with

USA Hockey coaching and Instructing at the Junior National Level.  In 2005, representing USA Hockey

He designed and implemented the first ever inline Hockey camp in New Zealand with great success.

Travis has spent five years in the Albany area coaching for the CD Selects and one year with the

Albany Jr River Rats who won a National Championship in 2006.  2007 saw Travis head Coach The
CP Dynamo 1994 Bantam Minor team to a very successful inaugural season.
He continues to work with
USA Hockey
Running camps throughout the USA and sits in the selection committee for the National
Junior Inline
Hockey Team.
