Looking for a fun place to host a birthday party for your kids in the Milwaukee area?

Here are some good choices.

10001 W. Bluemound Road, Milwaukee

A zoo birthday party includes up to 15 people (with the option to add more people for an additional fee) in a private room for 90 minutes, where guests can do their own activities, bring animals into the room to meet and have either their own birthday cake or food purchased separately through the zoo. The package includes entrance to the zoo for each guest for the whole day. Optional add-ons include animal encounter experiences and train or carousel rides.

2131 Main Street North, Racine

At Racine Zoo, several sites can be reserved for birthday parties that can accommodate between 16 and 100 people depending on the site. Birthday parties include two hours onsite, a 6-foot table for food, cakes, and gifts, and tables, chairs, and picnic tables. Food can be brought to the party and zoo entry for each guest is included in the packages. Add-ons for an additional fee include live animal programs, crafts, story hours, and goody bags, as well as heater and grill rentals.

7044 S. Ballpark Drive, Franklin

Groups of 10 or more can enjoy a birthday party at a Milwaukee Milkmen game. Package includes game tickets, group gift, autographed baseball, birthday kid’s name on the scoreboard (plus in-game birthday message) and a group photo in the field.

9701 W. College Avenue, Franklin

Wehr Nature Center birthday party packages include up to 10 guests (with the option to add on for an additional fee). The three-hour parties are organized around a nature theme, which includes activities and hikes led by a naturalist. For example, during the Reptiles and Amphibians night, guests will meet snakes, turtles, toads and amphibians, go on a hike and do a craft to take away. Guests also have time for opening gifts and refreshments in the party hall. Food can be brought from home, or a birthday cake and drinks are included in the more expensive package.

Washington Park, 1859 N. 40th St., Milwaukee

Menomonee Valley, 3700 W. Pierce St., Milwaukee

Party packages include up to 20 children for 2.5 hours in the party zone, including 75 minutes of staff-led themed activities. There are many themes that the birthday child can choose from, although some of them depend on the park in which the party is taking place. For example, fishing and canoeing can only take place in Washington Park. Some themes available at any of the three parks include scavenger hunts, eco-art, and fun with physics.

500 S. 84th Street, Milwaukee

Birthday party packages at Le Pettit are generally available from November to mid-March. Packages include skating admission, skate rental and use of the Pettit Party Zone for 10 people for one hour. All packages include a soft drink for each person and, depending on the package, either popcorn, a hot dog and fries, or a slice of pizza and a cookie.

10928 W. Oklahoma Avenue, West Allis

This roller rink offers party packages for 10 children (with the option to add children for an additional fee). All packages include a party table for the entire skating session, a birthday song and name announcement of the birthday child, admission and skate rental for each guest, two sodas per guest and two popcorn baskets. With more expensive packages, parties can also include treat bags, pizza, and a game of laser tag. The rink also offers the possibility of hosting private parties for up to 50 guests during times when public skating is not available.

2810 Golf Road, Pewaukee

There are three birthday packages of varying prices available for purchase at the water park. Depending on the package you purchase, between nine and 20 kids can attend the party (with between two and four adults). Each package includes one hour in a private party room, birthday cake and drinks. Two packages also include guest meals. The cheapest birthday package includes two hours of swimming in the water park, and the most expensive birthday package includes four hours of water park time.

5320 S. Moorland Road, New Berlin

The New Berlin Restaurant is a kid-friendly site offering all-you-can-eat pizzas, desserts, arcade games and activities.

The basic party package is for eight children (additional children may come for additional entry) and includes 90 minutes in a party room hosted by an on-site party host who will lead games, tie balloon animals and perform magic tricks. Each child will also receive pizza and drinks, as well as points for playing games and doing activities.

2701 Chase Ave, Milwaukee

There are several levels of birthday party packages available (some of which allow you to have the place to yourself if you’re ready to throw an early morning party on a Saturday or Sunday). The basic package includes a two-hour party, a decorated and reserved table for the party, two slices of pizza and drinks for each child, and points for playing games. The more expensive packages include perks like unlimited points to play games, free tickets to redeem for prizes, Dippin’ Dots ice cream, and goody bags.

2040 W. Blue Mound Road, Waukesha

The place is filled with inflatables and games. Party packages can be booked for groups of eight to 24 children and include two hours in a party room with a party host, a gift for the birthday child and drinks for everyone. Depending on the package, pizzas and other treats may be added.

2857 S. 160th St., New Berlin

The Big Backyard, a year-round indoor playground in New Berlin, offers several party packages. Packages typically include two hours split between a private room and the play area. Food can be brought in from outside or hot dogs, snacks and drinks can be purchased on site. Depending on the package, between eight and 24 children are included. Or, it is possible to rent the entire venue for a private party for up to 60 people.

10600 W. Blue Mound Road, Wauwatosa

This store is dedicated to Legos. Birthday party packages include 2 hours of use of the entire facility when kids (and adults) can use the bricks to build as they please. Packages include up to 15 children (with the option to pay extra for additional children) and use of a party table. Groups can bring their own food and cake or have Tosa Block Party make custom pizzas, snacks, cupcakes and cookies. Available add-ons include things like a take-home brick cup and a build-your-own figure.

11520 W. Blue Mound Road, #2, Wauwatosa

At this pottery painting venue, birthday party packages include a party room for two hours for at least six children. The session includes time to paint pre-selected pieces led by an instructor, and time for any food, cake, gift or activity the birthday family brings with them.
