The Hub Family Entertainment Center announced “with deep sadness” on September 13 its final closure. The company, located at 5055 Expressway, offered indoor go-karts, a two-story laser game arena, video game room and restaurant.

“We have so appreciated the tremendous support from the community both near and far,” the Hub’s website read. “Due to a devastating and unexpected death in our family last December, we had no choice but to make this difficult decision.”

“We had planned to stay open longer, but once the news of our pending sale became public, keeping and finding employees became that much more difficult. The past nine years have been amazing and we absolutely loved it. every minute we have spent with you and your families.

Scheels all sports announced the opening of its huge store in Missoula on October 2. The sporting goods retailer is located at the Southgate Mall. The store will open at 9 a.m. but the festivities will begin in the parking lot at 7 a.m.

There will be a ribbon cutting, in-store gifts, garden games, food trucks, coffee, ax throws and candied nut samples from the cafe inside Scheels.

“We believe SCHEELS is a perfect complement to the dynamic mix of stores, services and experiences that our shopping center offers,” said Tim Winger, Managing Director of Southgate Shopping Center. “We are confident that they will bring with them the very best in sporting goods, equipment and apparel to Western Montana, while providing top notch customer service and unforgettable experiences.”
