Here’s a guide to help you celebrate 815 Day in Rockford


ROCKFORD – 815 Day, also known as Rockford Day, takes place annually on August 15 and is designed to highlight the people, places and activities that make Forest City unique.

Businesses, agencies, nonprofits and other local organizations are encouraged to participate by offering special offers and discounts to enhance the celebration. You can also show your Rockford pride on social media using #RockfordDay2022 or #815Day2022.

Here’s a guide to some of the events and offers designed to help you celebrate 815 Day:

Pride of Rockford

What: Rockford Art Deli is selling its $15 t-shirts for $8.15. Styles include kids’ t-shirts (815), “Love Is RAD”, Rockford Public Schools 205, select current designs, vintage designs, and store-exclusive sale materials and trade-in materials. The store will also be hosting a live print day from noon to 6 p.m. You can bring your own shirt and have it printed for $8.15 or buy a shirt and have it printed for $18.15.

What: Bring the kids to see how Rockford recycles. Take a tour of the warehouse, find out what happens to old televisions, and create a piece of art or design a bird feeder using recycled materials.

What: Complete dental exam and a full set of x-rays for $81.50 for patients without dental insurance. Patients must call the office between Monday and Thursday to be eligible for the offer and their appointment must be scheduled and completed by September 30 for the deal to apply.
