Ice at Canalside will open for the season on November 26

BUFFALO, NY (WKBW) – The Ice at Canalside is scheduled to open for the season on November 26 at 3:00 p.m.

Ice skating, curling, ice bikes and ice bumper cars will be making a comeback as there were no winter activities in Canalside last year due to COVID-19.

“After a year away from the rink at Canalside, we are happier than ever to be able to once again welcome skaters and families to the rink,” said Kevin Parkinson, Vice President of Finance and Operations Be our guest . “Our opening celebration will be a great kickoff to the 2021 holiday season in Buffalo.”

There will be an opening night of the season which will include a DJ performance from 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., a visit from Santa Claus from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., fireworks at 7.15 p.m. and gifts and more.

Guests will be required to complete a waiver prior to participating in any activity at Canalside. They can be completed on your arrival or online here. Authorities say masks are encouraged for the duration of your visit.

The Ice at Canalside will be open until February 27, 2022.
