Madhya Pradesh’s first women’s cricket academy will be established in Shivpuri district, and a talent search program to recruit female players will start from Monday, an official said.

Shivpuri is the Assembly constituency of Sports and Youth Minister Yashodhara Raje Scindia.

“This will be the 11th athletic academy in the state. Academies in athletics, shooting, equestrian, water sports, martial arts, men’s hockey, women’s hockey, badminton, Men’s archery and cricket already exist in Madhya Pradesh,” the official said.

The talent search program for the state women’s cricket academy will begin on February 28. It will be open to ages 14 to 21, he said.

The first talent search for the academy will take place in Indore on February 28 and March 1. Players from all districts in Indore and Ujjain Divisions are free to participate in the drill, a government statement said.

Likewise, the talent search exercise will be conducted in the state capital on March 2-3 for Bhopal, Narmadapuram and Sagar districts, he added.

For Jabalpur division districts, it will be held in Jabalpur on March 4-5, while for Gwalior and Chambal division districts, the exercise will be held in Shivpuri on March 7-8, it said. -He specifies.
