Odisha to become India’s sports hub


Bhubaneswar: Odisha is set to become the sporting hub of India with the addition of another world class facility in the capital. The Indian Chess Federation (AICF) announced that the National Chess Academy will be established and established on the campus of Kalinga Industrial Technology Institute (KIIT) and Kalinga Social Science Institute (KISS) in Bhubaneswar.

According to sources, the president of the All Odisha Chess Association (AOCA), Ranjan Mohanty, was appointed co-secretary of the national federation at the annual meeting of the general organ and the central council of the AICF which took place. is held in Jaipur.

All Odisha Chess Association (AOCA) expressed gratitude to KIIT and KISS Founder Achyuta Samanta, Odisha Government Sports Secretary R Vineel Krishna and other officials for agreeing to establish an academy national in Bhubaneswar.

Chess competitions as a sport are expected to improve across India after this initiative in Odisha.

Odisha has world-class sports facilities like Barabati Stadium in Cuttack and Kalinga Multi-purpose Multi-purpose Stadium in Bhubaneswar. India’s largest hockey stadium is also arriving in Rourkela, for the 2023 FIH Men’s Hockey World Cup which is expected to be held in 2023.
