Ice skating and holiday festivities return to Murfreesboro as Winterfest kicks off Friday at Fountains at Gateway, 1500 Medical Center Parkways, for 10 weeks, from November 19, 2021 to January 30, 2022.

The festival offers ice skating in addition to concerts, school-style skate evenings and photos with Santa Claus.

“Last year over 15,000 skaters and spectators from across central Tennessee joined us at Winterfest,” said developer Scott Graby, president of Hearthstone Properties.

Graby said above-average temperatures are not a concern for the outdoor rink and Winterfest will be open even though the weather is warm.

The ice rink and the new Plaza Hall, a 4,477 square foot event space on the ground floor of One Fountain Plaza, is also available to host birthdays as well as religious and youth events, Christmas and New Year celebrations and corporate events.

Ice rink rental can also be combined with The View at Fountains conference and event room rental to provide an exclusive group activity for a vacation event.
