TURIN / Italy /, November 6. / TASS /. Russian figure skating star Anna Shcherbakova placed first at the 2021 Grand Prix of figure skating in Turin, Italy on Saturday.
Shcherbakova got 236.78 points, followed by her teammate Maiia Khromykh (226.35 points). Belgium’s Loena Hendrickx was third (219.05 points).
Russian figure skaters Iuliia Artemeva and Mikhail Nazarychev finished third in the pairs competition of the ISU Grand Prix of Italy.
The Russian pair scored 187.01 points (61.90 + 125.11). Sui Wenjing and Han Cong from China won the event (224.55 points, 80.07 + 144.48). Another Chinese pair, Peng Cheng and Jin Yang, finished second (211.86 points, 76.71 + 135.15).
Russian figure skater Mikhail Kolyada finished second among the men in Turin.
The Russian athlete had a total of 273.55 points in his short program and free skate (92.30 + 181.25). Yuma Kagiyama of Japan won the event (278.02 points; 80.53 + 197.49). Italian Daniel Grassl finished third (269.00 points; 95.67 + 173.33).
The other Russians, Petr Gumennik (226.76; 76.81 + 149.95) and Dmitry Aliyev (217.67; 71.07 + 146.60), finished eighth and ninth respectively.
The next stage of the Grand Prix will take place from November 12 to 14 in Tokyo.
