Swindon Wildcats are making a series of game night changes to improve the fan experience

THE Bespoke Goalies Swindon Wildcats have announced a series of features to “enhance the game night experience for fans” in time for the start of the Planet Ice NIHL National Division’s 2022-23 campaign.

With the new season set to start in just over a fortnight, the Wildcats say they have introduced a number of fresh new ideas involving food, entertainment and the return of an old favorite to make game night an experience. that the whole family can enjoy. .

The Wildcats announce they will be increasing their entertainment offerings for game nights and plan to roll out live music as well as more break activities such as figure skating or junior hockey scrimmages.

Swindon says the hope is that mini-games between juniors in the SWIHA program can lead a future Wildcats star to experience the Link Center rink for the first time.

Following the results of a survey the Wildcats sent out to all fans at the end of last season, the Link Center outfit announced it would be serving a variety of hot food options in the first-floor lobby on game nights.

One of the biggest problems the Wildcats have ever suffered from is the long lines leading up to games. The club says it has plans “up its sleeve” to reduce or even avoid long queues, making the rink and shop more accessible to fans ahead of the game. With shorter wait times, Swindon hopes to create a pre-match atmosphere from its first floor lobby.

But the Link Center outfit said its “most exciting” new feature is the return of post-match player signings. Two players will come to the signing table after a win or loss to give fans the opportunity to take a photo or have memorabilia signed.

Swindon advised fans to keep an eye on the club’s social media on matchdays to find out which players will be appearing.
